Hi everyone,
I just started wakeboarding for the first time two weekends ago and i love it.  I bought a board off a friend of mine for 50$ and went again this weekend.  I was having some trouble spinning in the water so i took the fins off but then i was having trouble turning so i just put the back fin on and it helped a lot.

my question: is it ok to ride with only one fin or would it be better for me to get two much smaller fins?

That's how I started out (actually I had a humongous back fin and a tiny front fin).  But that was about 12 years ago and I haven't seen that kind of configuration in quite some time.  It's not going to hurt anything but I'd say once you get used to getting the board turned when you get up to put two small fins in there.

It will help your progression and allow you to go switch which is a good thing to learn when you're just beginning.
